Stuart Wilson - Jun Shihan (6th dan)

Stuart is our most experienced instructor having started with Seido Karate in 1985. In that time, he has trained, competed and taught nationally and internationally and still regularly visits our New York Headquarters to train with Kaicho and Nidaime Nakamura. Stuart’s continued commitment and enthusiasm over these many years is infectious and still inspires students today.

Stephen Fincham - Jun Shihan (6th dan)

Stephen started Seido Karate in 1985.  He has a wealth of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. He has competed nationally & Internationally winning his first competion in 1989.

Stephen is our Safeguarding contact.

Karen Babb - Kyoshi (5th dan)

Karen lead the women’s only program at High Wycombe dojo.

Kyoshi Karen has been studying Seido Karate for over 30 years. As the senior instructor for the women’s class, she is able to bring a wealth of experience and knowledge and understands the unique challenges women in karate can face.

Chris Swordy - Kyoshi (5th dan)

Chris started training with Jun Shihan Stuart Wilson in 2001 and was one of the first adult students to walk through the doors at Tylers Green dojo when it started.

Having previously studied in Judo, boxing and other forms of karate, he soon became an integral part of helping to build this dojo, helping with instructing in both the adult and children’s programme. With a passion and natural talent for teaching, he has taught numerous seminars and training classes both on martial arts and other wider areas of health and fitness.

Alan Pritchard - Kyoshi (5th dan)

Alan started training in Seido in 2001. Alan is the Chief instructor for Lacey Green and lead instructor for their children’s program. Alan has a wealth of knowledge and experience teaching in a calm supportive environment. 

Christian Whitten – Kyoshi (5th dan)

Christian started with Seido Karate as a teenager and has amassed much experience over the years, He has particularly enjoyed the tournament environment competing in events both nationally and internationally, enjoying success in points fighting, knockdown fighting and kata. His clear and friendly teaching style make him an excellent instructor at the Tylers Green dojo.

Mark Terry – Sensei (4th dan)

Mark is a 4th degree black belt and is head of the High Wycombe dojo. 

Sensei Mark is the compliance officer for Seido Karate Bucks and overseas the licensing of all instructors.

David Titman – Sensei (4th dan)

Sensei Dave has been a regular instructor in Seido karate since gaining his black belt in 2011. As an experienced and supportive teacher, he is able to challenge and encourage all students to bring out the best in themselves. Currently instructing at both High Wycombe and Tylers Green dojos, he runs a range of classes for juniors, teenagers and adults. 

Tyarnna Swordy – Senpai (2nd Dan)

Senpai Tya has had a lifelong passion for Seido Karate since her father, Kyoshi Chris brought her along to the children’s class aged 6. Despite her young age, Senpai Tya has 20 years’ experience with Seido karate and is an accomplished technician. Her friendly and calm personality make her an ideal instructor with the teenage group at the Tylers Green Dojo.

Kasia Lampard-Terry – Senpai (1st Dan)

Senpai Kasia is dedicated to inspiring children through martial arts. She runs a fun and structured after-school program at a number of schools in the High Wycombe area where young students build confidence, discipline and self-respect. From their first kata to personal growth, she guides each child with positivity, patience and purpose.
